Marriage Counseling
You have committed yourself to one person and have chosen to spend the rest of your lives together. This arrangement provides both of you with the security of having a loyal, loving partner that you can turn to for affection and support.
When boredom, resentment, disconnection or hostility enters a marriage, the loss of companionship is profoundly painful. It often takes several years until a couple acknowledges the loss and attempts to do something about it by going into marriage counseling. Typically, couples do not realize the extent of the damage until one or both can no longer ignore the pain.
This is where Nelson Counseling can help. Our marriage counseling services help create an environment where you and your spouse can feel comfortable with each other as you identify, discuss and start to solve the issues that are driving you apart. This process is facilitated by trained, compassionate therapists dedicated to fostering a safe environment where all opinions and viewpoints are valued.

Family Therapy
Family relationships are complicated…you don’t need us to tell you that! Even though the family members love each other, it’s easy for relationships to become tense and even hurtful. Major events such as divorce, remarriage, death, abuse or job/school stress can easily create an environment where the fabric that holds a family together starts to fray.
The family counseling staff at Nelson Counseling fosters an environment where families can sort out their problems, come to a better understanding of each other and find more constructive ways to resolve conflict than what they are currently practicing. Our therapy techniques are designed to allow each person in the family to be heard and valued as they heal their broken relationships with each other.
